I’ve spent most of my life quietly showing up for the people around me — ordering an Uber for a neighbour, navigating a ferry trip with a friend, sitting with someone through a long medical appointment. Not because anyone asked me to, but because it needed doing and I could help.

The moment that changed everything came when my friend needed hip replacement surgery. I moved in with her for five weeks. I handled the appointments, the medications, the phone calls, the paperwork — all the things that pile up when your body needs all your energy just to heal. Watching her recover with confidence, knowing she wasn’t alone, reminded me why this kind of support matters so deeply.

That experience made something clear: there are so many mature adults in Victoria who need exactly this kind of help — practical, personal, and genuinely caring — and not enough people providing it. So An Assistant For You was born.

What I Believe

Independence isn’t something you give up when life gets complicated. It’s something worth fighting for. Whether that means getting to your doctor’s appointment, managing your finances, or finally taking that trip you’ve been putting off — you deserve support that meets you where you are.

I bring a lifetime of volunteer experience, a calm presence, and a deep respect for every person I work with. No task is too small. No need is unimportant.
